An experienced Plastic surgeon, Dr. Stephen Herring holds a Doctor
of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
and a Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forest School of Medicine in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He remained with Wake Forest to complete
both an internship and residency in general surgery, followed by a
fellowship in Plastic surgery. Dr. Stephen Herring has operated his own
practice in Fayetteville, North Carolina, since 1992. Since establishing
his practice, he has performed cosmetic and/or reconstructive surgery
on more than 15,000 patients.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Herring has served as staff physician at a number of North Carolina and
South Carolina hospitals and medical centers. He has also sat on
committees for the Greenville Hospital System, the Cape Fear Valley
Medical Center, and the Fayetteville Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is
Past President of the Cumberland County Medical Society. Outside of his
professional life, he enjoys giving back to the community through his
support of medical organizations and institutions such as the Shriners
Hospitals for Children.
